Meet Yasemin Gurgan, Miami's Trusted Math Tutor
I'm Yasemin Gurgan, the founder of Miss G Tutors. I started tutoring in 2013 because I saw too many students struggling with math and losing confidence — not because they weren't smart enough, but because they hadn't found the right way to learn it. I wanted to change that.
I earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and my Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. With over 13 years of teaching and tutoring experience, I've helped hundreds of students go from failing to thriving in math.
I'm a Certified 6th-12th Grade Math Teacher who formerly served as a Curriculum Support Specialist for the Miami-Dade County School District, where I specialized in Algebra and Geometry instruction. I also served on the district's textbook selection committee, helping choose the math books that Miami-Dade students use in their classrooms today. This gives me a deep understanding of exactly what students are expected to know and where they typically struggle — which makes my tutoring sessions incredibly targeted and effective.
My mission is simple: help every student I work with feel confident in math. Whether your child needs help with homework, grade improvement, or EOC exam preparation, I'm here to help them succeed.
