Meet Yasemin Gurgan, a highly experienced mathematics tutor with a passion for teaching Algebra and Geometry. Yasemin, aka as Miss G, attended Florida Christian School in Miami and went on to graduate from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a minor in Education. She later earned her Master’s in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
With over 12 years of experience teaching and tutoring math, Yasemin has a proven track record of success. She has taught Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and more, and is formerly a Curriculum Support Specialist for the Miami-Dade County School District, where she focused on improving instruction in Algebra and Geometry.
After years of supporting teachers and schools district-wide, Yasemin now devotes her energy to one-on-one tutoring through her private practice, Miss G Tutors.
Her sessions are engaging, structured, and personalized to each student’s needs. Yasemin integrates visuals, real-world examples, and memory tools to help students retain what they’ve learned and build true confidence in math. Whether a student is catching up or getting ahead, her goal is to make math understandable and even enjoyable. (Do not be surprised if you see your child and me giggling during a tutoring session. My goal is always to find ways to make math relatable and memorable with funny sayings, acronyms, and analogies.)
Yasemin is exceptionally skilled in preparing students for the Algebra 1 EOC, which is a graduation requirement in Florida public and charter schools. Her expertise ensures that students walk into their assessments feeling confident and ready to succeed. Miss G has yet to prepare a student for the EOC and not have them pass. 100% pass rate going strong!
When she’s not tutoring, Yasemin enjoys walking her mini Goldendoodle, TJ, trying new restaurants in Miami, and creating educational content for her YouTube channel.
Melissa Fernandez

She later advanced to higher education as an adjunct professor at Miami Dade College, teaching college-level mathematics and supporting diverse learners in a more advanced setting.
With over 5.5 years of tutoring and classroom experience, Melissa has worked with students of all ages and backgrounds. Her teaching style is centered around building deep conceptual understanding through critical thinking and real-world application. She believes that, with the right support, every student can not only succeed in math but genuinely enjoy it.

Meet Stanley Crespin, a highly skilled and dedicated tutor with a deep passion for mathematics. Stanley graduated from the Honors Program at Miami Dade College with a degree in Mathematics, where he thrived in the logical, structured nature of the subject.
With 7+ years of tutoring experience, Stanley has worked with students across all levels from middle school to college and continues to stay sharp with evolving teaching methods and curriculum standards. He especially enjoys tutoring because it allows for deeper exploration of concepts than what’s typically covered in traditional classrooms.
Stanley’s tutoring philosophy centers around building independence and confidence. He believes every student is capable of mastering challenging material and works patiently to guide them toward that realization. His former students often continue with him for multiple courses, thanks to his ability to tailor instruction and explain topics from multiple perspectives.
